Cleaning and Maintenance of Mirror and Glass Products
Damaged mirror or glass products caused by improper use of chemicals and/or cleaners is not covered under our manufacturer defect warranty, and will not be repaired or replaced.
- We do not recommend the use of Windex or any cleaner with an ammonia, vinegar or any other corrosive chemical base for cleaning mirrors or, for that matter, glass. Most propriety cleaners will run down the glass and penetrate seams and edges which can damage the mirror backing.
- When it comes to cleaning windows and mirrors simply use microfibre cloths which are readily available in major supermarkets & hardware stores. They are made of 100 percent polyester or a blend of polyester and polyamide (nylon). This makes them an ideal fabric for cleaning. The main advantage of microfibre cloths is that they do not require the use of any chemicals, leave no lint, but still make your glass surfaces clean.
- In a spray bottle add tap water (or distilled water). Then spray on mirror or glass surface and start rubbing glass surface with microfibre cloth in a circular motion to remove all the spots. Finally, wipe with vertical stokes followed by horizontal swipes to make the glass surface clean and shiny.
- This is a quick, cheap, and effective way to make your windows and mirrors look like brand new.
- This cleaning method is also recommended for aluminium profiles and handles.
